Hey ladies,
I know there have been a lack of posts here and on Makeup Minute, so I just wanted to take a sec to let you know that my grandfather was moved to hospice last Monday and it won’t be long before he passes. Many of you may remember when his brain surgery went wrong back in September and he ended up on life support. I had gone to Florida to say my goodbye’s and we had decided we would take him off the support–yet much to our surprise-he came out of his coma the day I got there. Since then he has lived bedridden, unable to speak, paralyzed (except for one arm) and still on life support. A week ago on Sunday I had gotten the call that his heart rate went down into the 30’s and the dr.’s indicated that it was the beginning of the end.
So I have been by his side now that he is up here in Pennsylvania–although about 2.5 hours from me. Depending on the weather here on Sunday (it is supposed to snow! Stop the insanity!), I may stay home and able to write a few reviews.
Anyway, please keep my grandfather in your prayers.

nilla cookie - March 18th, 2008 at 12:42 amOur prayers are with you. I had to deal with a situation like this with my grandfather last year. It was from here (CA) to Chicago, and back and forth. It’s not easy, but it helps to talk about it, and in our case, write about it too!
