At one point when I was backstage there was a model with every bone in her body showing. Her hip bones pertruded so much that it looked like she had a cell phone bulging in each pocket. I was horrified as many of the clothes just dangled on the girls. I was at the shows last fashion week, and was horrified by how thin the models were. I could see bones on almost all of them. After the show, I asked my husband how he liked the show. He replied "That was disgusting! Why do designers want models that thin? It doesn't make the clothes look good. The girls look sick." I was thrilled that he noticed! The girls are stand offish b/c they are HUNGRY! They are probably about to pass out. Great post. The issue clearly needs attention, b/c it effects way beyond the fashion world.
