Kelly Van Gogh is an internationally renowned celebrity hair colorist and Columbia University graduate. Kelly brings over 15 years of experience to the hair color industry- from product development for giants such as Aveda, Redken, Clairol and Logics — to running three hugely successful salons in South Beach Miami, Buckhead Atlanta and a private clientele salon in New York City.

Her Kelly prive’ salon in Atlanta is gorgeous and graciously, Kelly took the time to tell me more about it:

Shannon: Can you share with my readers more insight about your salon and the inspiration for it’s interior design?

Kelly Van Gogh: My salon, KVG prive’ by Kelly Van Gogh, is full of extraordinary talent from NYC, London, Miami and Atlanta. We specialize and are known for our sensual and intelligent hair color. We love to continue to always evolve our guests into fresh approaches to hair color and the design of the environment reflects a constant evolution and flexibility. Creativity cannot come from something that is standing still…. space must reflect movement and energy, but in a beautiful and inspiring way. The design elements are reflective of the energy of South Beach and LA and the bigger than life personalities that frequent both destinations and also the European sensuality of St. Barths. Our clientele, along with our team, are well traveled and we bring back the world in which to work and create.

Our hair color is driven by sensual mixtures of tones that creates our signature look, “Chic Glamour.” We have a VVIP clientele and are word of mouth and editorially promoted. Each guest is catered to by three team members, each with a specific area of expertise. Everyone is a celebrity, even if some do not appear on film. We love what we do and look forward to servicing each client. We have a traveling team of Kelly Van Gogh Creatives that frequent NYC, Miami and yearly London and Dubai.

Shannon: What makes your salon unique?

Kelly Van Gogh: We have no ego. We have fun and love what we do. We (ourselves) are our biggest competition.
