Elizabeth Arden recently launched a new product in the PREVAGE collection of anti-aging skin care, their Body Total Transforming Anti-Aging Moisturizer. To say this is unlike any other moisturizer I have used before would be an understatement. I received it in sample size about 8 weeks ago and I openly admit that nearing the end of the tube has me in a panic–I absolutely love what it has done for my skin!
Just like it’s facial moisturizer, this PREVAGE Body Total Transforming moisturizer has Idebenone, which works wonders on your skin (I also have the PREVAGE Anti-Aging Night Cream and I love it!) So here’s what I noticed in week one of using it:
* My skin was noticeably softer than usual
* My skin had a silky feeling to it
* The driest patches on my knees and elbows had started to soften
Now 8 weeks later all of the above have continued, but I have also noticed that my skin seems to have this overall “glow” to it. The appearance is healthier, which obviously comes with well hydrated skin in general, but I think that combined with how it felt just really wowed me. Not to mention that my skin felt great at 8am and was just as soft and supple by 8pm.
But $135 for a body moisturizer you ask? I know, in this economy it’s hard to look at that price tag and justify it. However, I can tell you that it is well worth the splurge. Those Visa gift cards I get for Christmas every year (thanks mom!)? They will be spent on this product for sure. www.shop.elizabetharden.com

What about the effects it’s supposed to have on dimpled skin on the thighs and buttocks? That’s my concern, before anything else.
Dawn Zimak - February 16th, 2009 at 2:45 pmThanks
Hi Dawn, I don’t know how that works as my skin isn’t dimpled. So I was just giving the review from my perspective on what it did for my skin.
Shannon - February 16th, 2009 at 2:50 pmHow long did one tube last? Thanks!
Judy - March 5th, 2009 at 1:45 pmHi Judy, it lasted about a month using it everyday.
Shannon - March 5th, 2009 at 2:46 pmCan this be used on the face as well? Moreover, do you know it’s effects on current, and faded stretch marks?
Quinn - March 24th, 2009 at 2:54 amHi Quinn, they do have a separate product for face, as well. As for the stretch marks, I honestly did not notice a difference in them. I only noticed a difference in how my skin looked a lot healthier and more hydrated than before.
Shannon - March 24th, 2009 at 4:51 am$135 for one tube that lasts one month? Whoa! It had better work! Here it is 4 months later — Are you still using it and raving about the results?
Suzy - August 21st, 2009 at 2:12 pmYeah I agree, that is pricey! Results only last for as long as you use it…and once it was out, it was out. I did love it while I used it though…but writing beauty reviews means there is always a new product coming to my office for me to try! lol
Shannon - August 21st, 2009 at 2:15 pmThat’s kind of what I expected — I’m seriously considering plunking down a LOT of money for a copper peptide anti-wrinkle cream (June Jacobs — any experience?) that I fell in LOVE with after a recent facial… But, it would be for my face and dĂ©colletage, only, and should last 4-6 months…
Suzy - August 21st, 2009 at 2:25 pmI would love to try this super duper moisturizer! I bet it would work great on my feet too!
Jennifer C. - August 22nd, 2009 at 10:30 amOh, so now I know why your skin looks fantastic! Prevage makes it glow! Awesome!
Tina - August 22nd, 2009 at 11:51 amwhat about face creams? are any of them good? i read some terrible reviews about their creams (mostly allergic reactions to some components)- didnt Prevage even try to re-formulate their skincare products?
Anna S. - August 22nd, 2009 at 12:18 pmI used Prevage’s night cream for a while until it ran out. I liked it…just never got around to writing a review for it.
Shannon - August 22nd, 2009 at 12:19 pmi probably should hunt for a sample then… all i am reading about Prevage is either really great or really terrible.
Anna S. - August 22nd, 2009 at 12:21 pmIt’s funny, I haven’t read a “grey” review yet. Either people love it or hate it.
Shannon - August 22nd, 2009 at 12:23 pmi think there is some component in Prevage that makes a lot of people have allergic reaction… The company should probably consider reformulating their creams and get rid of that component, unless it is the most active anti-aging one, of course
Anna S. - August 22nd, 2009 at 12:25 pmAfter reviewing everything, it seems i have not been out there very much. I did not even know about these products. Dawn, I have the same problems. i never had them until I had children. goodness , what women have to put up with. Our husbands should give us an alounce for all the horible things we have to put up with.
Vanessa Flores - August 23rd, 2009 at 11:02 amBut, does it work for ME?
Daphne - August 23rd, 2009 at 11:36 amPrevage would do well
to hand out free samples—
(I’ll bet more would sell!)
Daphne, At that price could you imagine how much eaven a sample would run them. The company would lose allot of money. All they have to do is brag about it and if it is as great as it sounds it is sure to sell.
Vanessa Flores - August 23rd, 2009 at 1:10 pmSounds like a great product that would work good but the price is also a little steep for me.
My mom uses Preparation H on the bags under her eyes and she swears by it!!
Deb Klein - August 23rd, 2009 at 7:23 pmI do not know if I could use prep H on my face. Yes the price is the only thing that holds me back on alott of products.
Vanessa Flores - August 23rd, 2009 at 11:47 pmI am using Estee Lauder’s Re-Nutriv Intensive smoothing body cream. I find that very nice, hydrating and smoothing. I would love to try prevage body. I have had a very bad reaction to the Prevage eye cream. (my skin around my eyes was burnt so bad I had to call in sick from work)
wossen - December 13th, 2009 at 12:59 amI still find myself wanting to try this prevage body cream. Do you think it is foolish to do so? In saying that I am very happy with the Re-Nutrive body cream but I also like trying new things. No wonder my friends call me a cosmetic junky.
