Summer 2009 is all about low maintenance natural looking hair color. This year’s look focuses less on highlights and more on rich, solid colors that complement your face shape and coloring.
- Blonde: Natural blonde is one of the hottest trends of this summer, golden and butterscotch. You can add rich highlights and lowlights to play with the contrast and shades of color.

“Low maintenance” and “natural looking” hair color? Isn’t that an oxymoron? I swear, the more “natural looking” my color, the higher the maintenance (and price!) Oh, well. I must admit, I did go “brighter blonde” this summer — with less low-lights — I really do like it, despite the time and $ to maintain it…(my hair grows so fast, I have to have get a cut every 5 weeks and the roots seriously touched up every 10 weeks — most people can go at least 6 and 12 weeks, respectively).
