Guest beauty post from beauty blogger Indian Girl:
Growing up, face masks were an everyday thing in my house. My mom is all about using fruits, vegetables, herbs and several other natural / organic ingredients on the face. Having grown up believing natural is the best way; I am always excited about products that incorporate some culture and whole lot of natural ingredients.
The Biotropics Ramuan Spa Relaxing Face Mask is just that. The key ingredient in this mask is Tongkat Ali, a plant indigenous to Malaysian rainforests. It is legendary for its revitalizing and nourishing properties. The mask is essentially a “mask” with areas cut out for eyes and lips. It comes soaked in a gel . We then pull it out of the individual packet and lay it on our face.
The company instructions on using the product is to cleanse, position the mask on the face and let stay for 15 minutes.
But I say, do this. Cleanse your face. Find a quiet spot in the house. Play some soothing music. Position the mask on your face and lie down. Close your eyes and feel the mask gently relaxing your face muscles. Don’t think about anything.
No, not the kids.
Not work.
Not the hottie at work.
Especially not the hottie at work. We all know that’s very distracting.
Very. Very.
Just lie down and concentrate on relaxing, taking deep long breaths.
At the end of 15 – 20 minutes (if you’re not already asleep) you will feel the mask drying out. At this point get up, wash your face with cool water, go back to sleep. You’ll wake up further refreshed and energized!
If you can’t do this, wake up, cleanse and thank God for the few minutes of relaxation in this world of crazy!
As for me, at the end of 15 minutes, the mask had my skin feeling supple and deeply hydrated. But what really won me over was the soothing uplifting effect it had on me. Even if it is only a few minutes of me-time, its all about making it count!
Love,
Indian Girl
