Review: David Yurman Luxurious Body Cream

david-yurman-luxurious-body-creamLuxury beauty. In today’s economy that is a bad, bad word. Because really? How many of us actually have the money to spend on anything luxurious? Yet, when we do, it is like coveting a prized possession. My friends (Channeling John McCain when I say that), David Yurman’s newest addition to his fragrance collection, Luxurious Body Cream, is one of those possessions you will covet.

Glass jar. Gold covered cap. The rich scent of amber mixed with a very pretty floral fragrance…you’ll feel the need to slap on your favorite LBD and heels when wearing this body cream. It smells that good. There’s no need to even wear perfume when you use it, although no worries, it is not overbearing in scent. The best part is that it not only smells indulgently sexy, it also hydrates your skin making it feel supple and smooth.

It’s not too often that I wear, or even like, perfume-scented lotions and creams, but this fragrance ignites visions of a more youthful and sexy me, that I simply adore it. Or it could be because I am about to turn 35 and am reflecting on my younger days…ahh nostalgia.

David Yurman’s Luxurious Body Cream is available for $90 at www.DavidYurman.com Have you tried it?

  4. wow, this jar looks amazing! almost like Yurmans jewelry. I wonder if you tried the fragrance itself too? What are the main notes? I am not much of a floral fan (except white florals)- but I will also do research on my own about new fragrance, I am a perfumaniac.

  5. ok, i went and looked for perfume reviews as well, as you got me intrigued. Overall, i found very positive reviews- high quality fragrance, floral (though the top notes are mandarin, but assume they dont last too long), and lasting power is great! perfume is expensive too- 150 dollars for a 1.7 oz!

  6. It’s interesting that David Yurman has gone into skincare from jewelry. I wonder if this luxurious moisturizer would work as well as some others I have tried. The jar is beautiful though.

  8. The jar itself is simply gorgeous. I wasn’t aware that David Yurman did fragranced body creams!
