Mail Bag: Hairstyle Help from Pearson Knight

Hi Shannon,

I’m 68 years old; but very young at heart (I feel mentally about 35). I hit a rut in my life with the loss of my job. My hair was pure white so after my job loss decided to change the color. My style doesn’t do much for me. It’s short but the wrong cut. Please give me some advice on how to project some youth in my style so that I can get out there and get another job.

To help E. I went to my friend, celebrity hairstylist Pearson Knight to get her some answers. Here’s what Pearson had to say:

I would suggest something a little more edgy in the regards of texture and shape. Almost described as a modern pixy cut with longer bangs, disconnected layers on top,and a textured perimeter. Not so edgy as to not look or feel like yourself, but ask your stylist to add some interior layers and texture to uphold some shorter and longer layers on top that will lift up your appearance and look. Grab some volumizing products and texture paste and wear it wild as you want.
