Review: HydroPeptide Power Lift

hydropeptide_power_liftI have to face the fact that this summer I will be 36. I really haven’t minded ages 30-35, but 36, well that means I am closer to middle age. I feel too young for that label.

In my family, the women look younger because they all began taking care of their skin from a young age. They didn’t wait for the wrinkles to set in and then try to fight them, they were proactive to take steps before they actually occurred. I really believe the Fountain of Youth is simply the act of starting a skin care regimen in your early 20′s. In this way you can avoid expensive treatments like Botox, which is poison by the way.

For those of us who are worry warts (raising my hand), we know a thing or two about wrinkles. I refuse to get Botox. Truth be told, I am afraid of needles. So I know that the key to a healthier looking face is one that is exfoliated 1-2 times per week and adequately hydrated (and I don’t mean the beauty myth of drinking water.) That’s where HydroPeptide’s Power Lift comes into play.

HydroPeptide Power Lift is a rich concentrate moisturizer that deeply hydrates your skin. For it is those little water molecules that plump the skin tissue which in effect minimizes the look of fine lines and deep wrinkles.  Keyword here is minimize and not banish completely…because I have yet to encounter a cream that rids the skin of wrinkles altogether.  I point that out simply because I don’t want anyone to walk away hoping for a miracle cream and the day you stop using it, the wrinkles return.

HydroPeptide Power Lift is meant to be used 2x a day, however for my skin type the cream was really too rich to be worn under my makeup during the day. So every night before bed, I applied it to freshly cleansed skin. Within about 2 weeks of use I noticed my skin felt softer and the overall look of my skin much healthier due to retaining moisture. I’m not sure if you know this or not, but it is night time that is the most important time to wear moisturizer as it is the time of day that your skin loses moisture the most.

There is a clean scent to Power Lift, although not perfumey.  Due to the thickness of the cream (less is more) and only using it at night, the 1 ounce jar has lasted me about 3 months. For $80 , that’s not too bad.  You can check out more details at www.HydroPeptide.com
