Whether you are new here to A Girl’s Gotta Spa! (sm) or a longtime reader, you may not know that I came up with the name for this beauty blog as a play on Calgon’s commercials from my youth. You know, the one with the mom in the bathroom where she says, “Calgon, take me away!” (This is why there is an exclamation point on the end of my title.) So it was a no brainer when Calgon actually approached me to give their new re-vamped bath and body line a try. The only thing I’ve ever tried from Calgon previous to this was their bubble bath, which used to come in a baby cereal-like box (and still does)…and I used to sneak it from my mom. Sorry mom.
Calgon now has many scents and products to choose from aside from their bubble bath, such as bath salts and fizzes, body wash and body cream. The scent I had my Nourishing Body Cream in was Morning Glory. A very floral yet sweet fragrance. The body cream is very thick, yet creamy and non-greasy. It absorbed easily and was very skin softening. Some of the main ingredients are aloe, glycerin and beeswax (which is known to help skin retain its natural moisture.)
It’s funny for me to think that this brand has been around since my youth and yet is still very relevant to my life…especially now that I am a mom and sometimes my boys will hear me say, “Calgon, take me away!” Have you had the chance to try any of their products?
