Mom: Get Glamorous Contest Rules and Judges

Contest Rules and How To Enter:

First, the person being nominated must absolutely 100% be a mom age 18+ and a legal US resident. You can nominate yourself or be nominated by someone else. Nominations can be done 1 of 2 ways:

1.A 600 word or less written entry submitted via email that tells me why this mom is so extraordinary.

2. Or by video, uploaded to You Tube, vimeo, etc. The video has to be 3 minutes or less and the link to the video submitted via email (the exact link, not tiny url or bitly, etc.)

Whichever way you choose, your email must also contain: the mom’s full name, age, number of children, city/state, picture of this mom and her kids and contact information. Nominations should be submitted to: Shannon (at) agirlsgottaspa (dot) com. All questions may be directed to this email as well.

By entering the contest, should you be chosen as the winner, you are giving me the right to post this information in the winning announcement. Contest begins May 4, 2009 and ends on May 26, 2009. Winner will be announced on May 29th. Retail value of the prize pack is $2276. All products are brand new and unused and come “as is” without warranty. There are no cash or product substitutes. I retain the right to revoke or cancel the contest and prizes without warning. Only one submission per mom allowed. Myself and the guest judges are not liable if you do not like the products, if they cause an allergic reaction and the like.

When in search of the most amazing and deserving mom for Mom: Get Glamorous, I certainly had to make sure I had some pretty amazing women to help me with sorting through the nominations to choose the winner. Here is some more information about the judges for the contest:

She began A Girl’s Gotta Spa! beauty blog in 2005 to bring reviews on beauty products to women everywhere in a way that is “your best girlfriend” type of advice. This summer she will be speaking at Cosmoprof North America and previously has spoken at the HBA Expo on how beauty brands can utilize social media to generate consumer conversations and brand advocates around their products and services.

Melanie Notkin: Melanie is the founder and CEO of Webby Award nominated SavvyAuntie.com, which launched in July of 2008 as the first online melanie_notkin_savvy_auntie_ceocommunity for cool aunts, great aunts, godmothers and all women who love kids. Before launching Savvy Auntie, Melanie was an interactive marketing and communications executive for global Fortune 500 companies, including New York Times Digital and American Express, as well as L’Oréal. SavvyAuntie.com was ranked as one of Springwise’s Top 10 Entrepreneurial Ideas of the Year (2008) and Melanie was recently named a Heeb Magazine HEEB 100. She is a Savvy Auntie and Auntie by Relation (ABR) to a number of wonderful children who are the loves of her life. She is also an Auntie By Choice (ABC) to all of her friends’ kids, who come in a very close second. Melanie resides in New York where she is surrounded by the very best the city has to offer.

She has further leveraged her relationships with companies and PR firms through her recent launch of BuzzCooperative.com. You can also find her occasionally guest writing at Mashable.com. Jessica enjoys the best of both worlds, motherhood and career, at home in the DC Metro area with her husband and young son.

Audrey McClellan: In 2005, after working for Donna Karan International in New York City for six years, Audrey returned to her home state of audrey_mcclellan_mom_generationsRhode Island and co-founded the site MomGenerations.com, a go-to resource for the entire family, with her mom and sister. Drawing on her background in fashion, each Friday night she hosts a BlogTalkRadio show called “Feel Good Fashion”, and she also contributes to the Blissful Style channel on BlissfullyDomestic.com. On January 1, 2009, she launched a now-popular series called “365 Days of Fashion Advice for Moms,” offering one piece of fashion and/or beauty advice each day, either through a blog post or a vlog. Audrey is one of Walmart’s Elevenmoms, a group of mom bloggers who help Walmart in its Social Media efforts. She also is on the Playskool Parents Play Panel, consulting the Playskool team in Social Media. Audrey co-wrote Preconception Plain & Simple – A Deliciously Smart and Sexy Guide in Preparing for Pregnancy with her mom, and has contributed articles to Conceive Magazine. She lives in Rhode Island with her husband and 4 sons, ages 4 and under.
