Target the 5 Signs of Aging #ad

Shannon Smyth
Disclosure: Thanks to RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 in 1 Chest, Neck and Face Cream, I’m targeting the 5 signs of aging as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #WomenWhoRoC While the Summer wreaks havoc on my skin by aging it with damaging UV rays, the Winter is equally as brutal with dryness leaving my skin looking dull. And with every year I age, it seems a new wrinkle emerges. Fighting what ages you is a 365 day a year battle. Roc Multi-correxion 5 in 1 chest, neck and face cream review via @agirlsgottaspa #ad #WomenWhoRoC You're only as old as you feel, right? Having a 6 month old at 41; I can tell you there are plenty of days when I feel youthful. It's like being 25 with my first one all over again. However, my mirror likes to promptly remind me that it's not 1999 and I definitely don't look to be in my mid-twenties. Hell, I don' even look to be in my 30's, either. Thanks to 4 decades years of living life, my skin is beginning to show its true age. I'm pretty good at keeping a consistent anti-aging skin care routine, but I like when I come across a multi-tasking product that targets more than one skin care concern. RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 in 1 Chest, Neck and Face Cream is a new broad spectrum SPF 30 skin care product and is the perfect addition to your facial care routine. Your neck is one of the first places to show signs of aging. Roc Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck and Face Cream review via @agirlsgottaspa #ad #WomenWhoRoC Taking aim at the 5 signs of aging in the chest, neck and face area - discoloration, sagging skin, dryness, dull skin tone and wrinkles - this neck and facial cream hydrates thirsty, dry skin while helping to restore elasticity and firmness. The cream is richly textured while not feeling heavy on the skin; it's not greasy and quickly absorbs into the skin. It is scented and the fragrance reminds me of damask roses; very light and very pretty. It eventually dissapates and you no longer smell it after a few minutes. shannon_smyth I'll be honest, and I'm sure I'm not the only one - I often forget to apply cream to my neck, even knowing that your neck and chest area are one of the first places that shows signs of aging. For me, what helped me to get into the habit of incorporating it into my daily routine was the scent of this product and how soft my skin felt after applying it. I also like that RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 in 1 Chest, Neck and Face Cream has broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection so that I'm shiedling my neck from further UV damage.

Happiness is.... ♡♡♡

Probiotic Skin Care: Miracle Ingredient or Marketing Hype?

Shannon Smyth
Probiotic skin care - miracle ingredient or marketing hype? via @agirlsgottaspa As a consumer, my hope is that when a product comes to market, it delivers information that is true. I mean, we're all so busy, who has the time to fact check everything? For a while, we all believed the mascara commercials and ads where the spokesperson/model had the most amazing lashes... until the FTC made them disclose that the lashes you saw were really lash extensions with mascara and a healthy dose of photoshop. And sidebar - prior to this disclosure I always thought something was just plain wrong with me because I couldn't duplicate those lashes using that miracle mascara. Every year there is a new fad ingredient for skin care and cosmetics. Some of them, like argan oil, truly deserve the praise and promotion. While others deserve to be looked at with skepticism. Enter probiotics. Now don't get me wrong, my whole family takes a probiotic and we eat yogurt with live cultures all the time. I know the benefits of probiotics because it has really helped us with gut issues. Probiotics are a good thing. However, I've noticed a trend with it being touted as a miracle skin care ingredient. I've seen claims that state that probiotic skin care offers a healthy dose of probiotics to help boost the skin’s immune system. That probiotic skin care is infused with healthy bacteria. Another brand says the probiotics in their skin care protects and strengthens the skin's microbiome. It all sounds amazing... if it were true. Whenever I hear these sciencey types of claims I immediately turn to my longtime myth-busting beauty blogger friend Perry of The Beauty Brains.  Who, if you are not aware, is a cosmetic chemist and scientist. In other words, he knows his stuff. Perry told me, "Probiotics in skin care will not affect your immune system. For probiotics to have an effect, they would have to be living and there are no skin care products on the market that have living probiotics (bacteria) in their products. It is marketing BS pure and simple." And the claim that probiotics in skin care can protect and strengthen the skin's microbiome? Perry explained,"The bacteria and other microscopic creatures that live on your skin (like demodex mites) are called the skin microbiome. If you took a microscope and looked at skin you'd see a literal zoo of microbes. The claim that the skin care line 'protects and strengthens' the microbiome is meaningless marketing drivel. That's like saying you protect and strengthen a zoo. It makes no sense, but it sounds impressive to consumers." So there you have it. Probiotics in skin care to boost your immune system or to protect/strengthen your skin is merely marketing hype; a buzzword. And while it's true, we've previously reviewed and raved about a skin care brand whose focus is probiotics, in hindsight it appears that the products worked well due to the other skin nourishing ingredients, not in relation to probiotics. So when you read or hear about "probiotic technology" (which I have yet to see any brand truly define what that technology is), don't fall prey to the claims. Or have you already? Leave a comment - I'd love to hear from you. If you found this article helpful, please share it!

Charcoal Skin Care Products for Acne Prone Skin

Shannon Smyth2 comments
Love these charcoal skin care products for acne prone skin via @agirlsgottaspa Do you have oily or combination skin? You may want to consider incorporating charcoal into your skin care regimen. Sure, charcoal is totally on trend right now and may seem like a fad, but it's for good reason. Charcoal absorbs oil and draws out toxins and bacteria from the skin. Those of us with this skin type know that excess oil leads to clogged pores, which leads to blemishes. Bacteria, transferred by way of constantly touching your face or even tampering with those blemishes, only leads to more blemishes. It's a vicious cycle my friends. I decided to give a few charcoal products a try (and my teen son's were also game to clear up their acne.) These are the current charcoal skin care products in my shower right now: Love these @michaeltoddskin charcoal skin care products via @agirlsgottaspa Michael Todd Charcoal Detox Cleanser: With a black, semi gel-like consistency, this cleanser comes in a pretty large bottle with a pump. I didn't notice a fragrance to it, but what was noticeable was how amazing my skin looked after using this for a few months. Even my oldest son, who is always broken out with acne all over his forehead, had a large decrease since using this cleanser. Aside from activated charcoal, this cleanser also contains aloe, which will help soothe acne flare-ups; tea tree oil, an anti-bacterial; and sugar cane, maple and bilberry extract for retexturizing the skin. Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub: This gritty, black facial scrub doesn't really have a smell to it. It's not greasy at all and the texture is like a paste. This activated charcoal facial scrub uses jojoba wax beads to exfoliate, which are gentler on skin and won't scrape it up (like say a scrub with apricot kernels would.) So while you slough off the dead skin, the charcoal is taking care of the excess oil and bacteria. This scrub also contains tea tree oil like the detox cleanser. (The tube pictured is trial size; the full size is much bigger.) @latherskincare charcoal skin care via @agirlsgottaspa LATHER Charcoal and Tea Tree Cleansing Bar: When is the last time you had a black bar of soap in your shower? My kids were perplexed when they saw it. You can smell the tea tree oil in this soap, but it's not overwhelming. Keep the bar away from water when not in use, and it will last a ridiculously long time. I've been using it for about 2 months now and it looks like I've barely touched it. Simply rub the bar in your palms and then massage onto your face and then rinse. LATHER Charcoal Konjac Sponge: Get one of these STAT. I've never used a konjac sponge prior to this, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. It looks like a pumice stone - even feels like one when you take it out of the package. However, the moment water touched it, it immediately became this silky sponge. You can use it alone or with a cleanser. When I pair it with my Michael Todd Detox Cleanser, it makes it lather (so use only a small amount.) When you're done, keep it out of water. It'll dry back to it's hard, pumice-like state. It is literally amazing and I love it. Obviously I don't use these products all at once, but I do consistently alternate them daily to keep my skin blemish-free. Have you tried any of these products? Must Have Airplane-Friendly Beauty Products

Gail Lewis
Must-have airplane friendly beauty products via @agirlsgottaspa The holiday travel season is officially upon us so I've decided to share some of my favorite travel friendly beauty products in hopes that it will make this holiday travel season a bit less stressful...and germ free. 1. Farmaesthetics Cool Aloe Mist This spritz is ideal for air travel because it is hydrating, refreshing and purifying. The cool aloe mist soothes dry skin and doubles an anti-bacterial, which is important in such an enclosed environment where air is re-circulated. Just spray it around your personal space prior to boarding for a relaxing scent and to ward off those airplane germs. 2. Yuni Instant Shower Sheet I love having these in my purse just in case of delayed or canceled flights.  I have been stranded at the airport enough times without access to a shower and these wipes are the next best thing to a shower. They cleanse, deodorize and refresh with neem and peppermint. 3. Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom Leaving home without this salve is not an option.  First off, I adore the smell of coconut as it just puts me in a great mood no matter what. The smell of this mutli-tasking skin salve plus the fact that it is uber hydrating, makes it an absolute must-have travel beauty product for me. 4. Super Booster Teeth Whitening Pen  This pen is fast-acting and easy to use, plus it has a minty flavor so it also freshens that dreaded airplane breath. 5.  Pixi Glow Tonic This is another product with a super addictive scent. It's fresh, clean and pretty.  It also has 5% glycolic acid, aole vera and ginseng and gently exfoliates skin for a bright, glowing complexion. I love using it right before I land. These products definitely help to make my time on an airplane a lot less stressful and hopefully they will make your holiday travel season a bit more merry. Holiday Skin Prep with RoC®

Shannon Smyth

Disclosure: Thanks to RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 I’m getting my skin ready for the holidays as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #WomenWhoRoC

More holiday skin prep with RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 via @agirlsgottaspa #WomenWhoRoC #spon The holidays are finally here, which seems a bit unreal, especially here in the Poconos where it hasn't had accumulative snow yet, making it still feel like September. (There's something about snow that really gives you that holiday feeling.) As everyone reaches for their camera to capture the season's memories, now is the time to have a winter skin care regimen going in full force. Did you begin back when we began talking about holiday skin prep? Since I know my family will be snapping lots of photos, especially since it is my youngest son's first Christmas, I really want to look my best. And to be honest, I'm super self conscious about those photos going up on Facebook and my friends from high school secretly judging how I'm aging. (Admit it, it's something you think about, too.) Holiday skin prep with RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 via @agirlsgottaspa #WomenWhoRoc #spon In addition to the RoC® Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream I mentioned using in my last post, I'm also incorporating RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 into my skin care arsenal. The moisturizer contains an exclusive combination of pure retinol and the latest sunscreen technology that is specifically engineered to deliver very broad and photostable UVA and UVB protection with an SPF 30 (which is the minimum SPF you should be using on your skin at all times.) Since exposure to light is known to degrade the effectiveness of retinol, I like that RoC's stablized retinol is kept intact with the addition of broad spectrum sunscreen. Sunscreen should be part of your daily skin care regimen anyway, since what's the point of using anti-aging skin care if you're going to let the sun continue to age you? (Am I right?!) More holiday skin prep with RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 via @agirlsgottaspa #WomenWhoRoC #spon This moisturizer is clinically shown to visibly diminish wrinkles after 8 weeks of use and after 12 weeks of use, even deep wrinkles are visibly diminished. I've only been using it about 4 weeks so far and my wrinkles have definitely softened in their appearance. I especially dislike this one deep set wrinkle I have that is between my eyebrows. More holiday skin prep with RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 via @agirlsgottaspa #WomenWhoRoC #spon As you can see in the photo, it is still visible, but it's not all in your face. (Do you see what I just did there?) At least not to me. It looks softer and more like a fine line than a wrinkle. The fine lines I do have are less noticeable. Retinol is said to be drying, but I haven't found that to be the case so far. I do have combination skin and I've found that it has a mattifying effect for me. Do I look 41? (You can say no.) I'd love to hear about your experience if you've used this product! Leave a comment! Subscribe to A Girl’s Gotta Spa! beauty blog. Can Ultrasound Improve the Look of Skin?

Shannon Smyth

I'll be honest, I was not very familiar with the world of cosmetic ultrasound treatments when I decided to try the Mira-Skin Ultrasound device. Upon doing my research, I learned that ultrasound is a non-surgical/non-invasive treatment that counteracts the effects of time and gravity on your skin.

Ultrasound uses the body's own regenerative response to gently and gradually lift skin on the eyebrow, under the chin and on the neck, and smooth lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.  It can improve the appearance of moderately loose or sagging skin by depositing focused ultrasound energy below the surface to stimulate the body’s creation of new collagen.

The Mira-Skin Ultrasound device promises the benefits of a professional cosmetic ultrasound spa treatment in the comfort of your own home whenever you so desire and at a fraction of the price.

After receiving my Mira-Skin Ultrasound, I used it for a month before writing this review. The issues I was aiming to treat with this device were dry dull skin, acne scars and skin that just seemed tired looking.

The Mira-Skin Ultrasound device is extremely easy to use. After cleaning my face, I just followed the simple directions and applied the Mira-Skin Hyaluronic Serum to my skin. The serum helps skin to retain moisture, which lends to a plumping effect in the skin.

After applying the serum, I then applied the Conductive Gel to my face and glided the ultrasound device across my skin. It's the ultrasound waves that help to break up and lift dead cells and boosts the performance of the anti-aging nutrients in the serum.

I then just applied my regular moisturizer, as usual. Serum's role is to help bring your moisturizer deeper into your skin as well, allowing for both products' ingredients to work to their full potential.

After the first use my skin immediately looked more hydrated.  After about a week of using the Mira-Skin Ultrasound device for about ten minutes three times per week, my skin looked rejuvenated, hydrated and smooth.

After one month of using the ultrasound device, a lot of my acne spots have faded and I am hoping with continued use they will fade even more.

My skin looks brighter, feels more supple, I have noticed my face is a lot less puffy in the mornings and best of all, except for one or two minor pimples, my acne issues seem to be a thing of the past.

I have to be honest and admit that I was really skeptical about the Mira-Skin Ultrasound device, especially after using it for the first time.  Because I didn't feel any vibrations, or tingling...or really anything. It seemed too easy and I didn't think it would work, but I have seen a huge improvement in my skin in the past month.

This device is definitely worth investing in and the very minimal time it takes to use it just a handful of times per week to see such a difference.

3 Myths About Using Toner

Shannon Smyth11 comments
Which of these myths have you believed about using toner? via @agirlsgottaspa Toner is one of the biggest misunderstood skin care products out there. And to be honest, at one point when I was younger, I also believed some of these myths. What about you? 1. Toner is a cleanser. This one bugs me the most. I've read blogger reviews where the person clearly didn't understand the role toner plays in a skin care routine. They'll say, "It worked great removing the makeup my normal cleanser leaves behind." Yes, you may see remanents of your makeup on the cotton pad you just applied your toner with, but that's because anything wet applied to a cotton pad and rubbed on your face will do that if you didn't do a good job of cleansing in the first place. 2. You don't really need toner; it's a marketing ploy. If you don't understand how toner plays an important role in the line up of skin care products recommended for your skin type, then it is easy to write it off as one of those add-ons or up-sells at the cosmetics counter. This isn't the case though. 3. Toners are intended to tighten skin/shrink pores. NOPE. First off, pores do not shrink. I repeat, there is no way to shrink your pores (now THAT is a marketing ploy.) Second, if your toner is making your skin feel tight, then it is possible that you may be using one with too much alcohol or it's one that is not suitable for your skin type. So what is the purpose of toner? It balances the pH level of your skin, preps the skin for your serum and moisturizer, and when left damp on your skin, it allows your moisturizer to seal in the water (toner is mainly water) and keep your skin hydrated. So why not just splash your face with water if that's the main ingredient in toner? Because most toners also include a variety of special ingredients that target specific skin care issues. For example, I love Paula's Choice Resist Advanced Replenishing Toner because it includes licorice root. Licorice root fades hyperpigmentation, which I have quite a bit of due to poor skin care choices in my youth (i.e. not wearing sunscreen.) Renee Rouleau Elderberry Toner is another alcohol-free toner that I love that has anti-inflammatory properties (and you HAVE to grab her Toning Cloths, which are amazing.) So please don't skip the toner, your skin will reap the rewards. Subscribe to A Girl’s Gotta Spa! beauty blog. Reduce Wrinkles and Firm Skin: L’Oreal Paris Revitalift™

Shannon Smyth

Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by L’Oreal and Conde Nast, but all opinions expressed are my own.

@lorealparisus Revitalift review via @agirlsgottaspa AD If you're tired of reading reviews and trying to educate yourself about anti-wrinkle creams and serums from those barely in their 20s, then you've landed in the right place. While including anti-aging products into your skin care regimen should begin in your 20s, collagen loss and those ghastly deep set wrinkles and fine lines are more prominent in mature skin. So to be completely transparent - I'm 41 years old, didn't really begin to use anti-aging products until I was in my 30s and have watched gravity make itself known on my face (and other areas, too, but that's an entirely separate blog post.) @lorealparisus Revitalift review via @agirlsgottaspa AD When you're dealing with loss of volume, Hyaluronic Acid is the best ingredient in your skin care products that can make the most noticeable difference. Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Volumizing Moisturizer and Revitalift™ Volume Filler Daily Volumizing Concentrated Serum both contain Hyaluronic Acid, which is a water-binding molecule - that means it helps skin retain moisture - an ability that skin loses as we age. If you are 40+ you may have already begun to notice a change in your skin, not only the loss of elasticity resulting in a bit more sag to your skin, but in an increase in dryness as well. For the longest time I've had combination skin that tended to be more oily. But in recent years that has made a definitive change and it tends to be more dry than oily. As you know, dry skin makes just about every flaw on your face more visible. While most people believe the myth that drinking more water will hydrate and plump the skin, it's really a topical application working from the outside in that has the most dramatic effect in restoring skin's natural fullness for a more youthful look. When skin is properly hydrated, especially in combination with Hyaluronic Acid, it gives skin a visible lift by replenishing skin's volume, thus giving you a younger looking appearance. It's really that simple. @lorealparisus Revitalift review via @agirlsgottaspa AD When using both Revitalift™ Volume Filler Daily Volumizing Moisturizer and Revitalift™ Volume Filler Daily Volumizing Concentrated Serum, you're dealing skin a one-two punch. Apply the serum first, which helps deliver the moisturizer deeper into the skin. While I used the moisturizer over my entire face and neck, I only applied the serum under my eyes, along my cheek bones and across my forehead. With Volume Filler™, in just 4 weeks you will begin to see an increased fullness in cheeks, a less hollowed look under your eyes and fine lines and wrinkles will be less pronounced. All good things take time after all. The Revitalift™ Volume Filler Daily Volumizing Moisturizer has a slightly thick, creamy texture and a perfume fragrance. The fragrance does disappear once applied to your skin. While the consistency of the moisturizer is thick in the jar, it is definitely weightless on your skin. Revitalift™ Volume Filler Daily Volumizing Concentrated Serum has the same fragrance as the moisturizer, it also contains dimethicone, so it has a very silky texture that makes it glide across your skin. (Which means it also works great in lieu of a makeup primer.) L’Oréal Paris is introducing a new skin care website built around the insight that everyone’s skin tells a story and no two stories are the same. With this new destination, www.lorealskinexpert.com, L’Oréal wants to help everyone find the right solution for their unique skin concern. With a personalized online skin consultation, you will be given a customized Revitalift™ skin care regimen along with easy-to-understand content from L’Oréal’s team of skin care experts to help decode ingredients, usage instructions and lifestyle tips for your skin. Get Skin Holiday Ready with RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream

Shannon Smyth

Disclosure: Thanks to RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream I’m getting my skin ready for the holidays as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #RoCRetinolResolution #WomenWhoRoC Get your skin holiday ready via @agirlsgottaspa #RoCRetinolResolution #WomenWhoRoC

I feel like this year has flown by. Don't you? We're quickly approaching what is prime photo season - the holidays! The holiday season (October through the beginning of January) is my frenemy for many reasons. I look forward to the warmth and fun of enjoying family get togethers and parties, but loathe the stress (which shows on my face) and all the photos I'll soon be tagged in. Having our 5 boys plus a newborn means many sleepless nights and sometimes chaotic days. I definitely don't want that to come across in pictures. For most things, I am a procrastinator. I simply wait until the last minute to do anything, but one thing I have learned when it comes to my skin? Undoing years of damage, as well as creating a flawless canvas simply doesn't happen overnight. I absolutely have to begin my anti-aging regimen months in advance. Pamper your skin via @agirlsgottaspa #RoCRetinolResolution #WomenWhoRoC AD Right now setting aside time for myself is difficult, but oh so necessary (if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody's happy.) One way I am pampering myself while treating my skin, is with an evening dose of me time. (You deserve it, so gift yourself with it daily!) That includes a detoxing soak in the bathtub (San Francisco Salt Company) with the fragrance of a ridiculously soothing candle (I LOVE the Geranium and Lavender candle from Root Candles), contrasted by the invigoration of my favorite coffee scrub (Fig+Yarrow) followed by RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream. Get your skin holiday ready via @agirlsgottaspa #RoCRetinolResolution #WomenWhoRoC AD Taking the stress level down a notch helps more than you may think when it comes to your skin. And that relaxation helps to promote a more restful sleep when you steal away time for yourself at the end of each day. Looking well-rested means less concealer. When it comes to combatting wrinkles, especially those deep wrinkles on my forehead, I love that I can do it in my sleep while my skin is regenerating. RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream's main ingredient is retinol, which is the #1 dermatologist recommended anti-aging ingredient. As we age, we lose 1-2% of collagen each year, which results in a sallow and sullen appearance. Retinol improves collagen-depleted skin treating fine lines and deep wrinkles. Give yourself a good 4 weeks of consistent, nightly use and you'll begin to see a difference. Minimized wrinkles means less time spent photoshopping...or in my case, making my husband take about 100 photos until one meets my approval. Oh c'mon, you know exactly what I am talking about! Get your skin holiday-ready via @agirlsgottaspa #RoCRetinolResolution #WomenWhoRoC AD I'm looking forward to my husband's annual Christmas party at work and won't be cringing when friends break out the camera! Bring the Salon and #Spa Home with Conair

Shannon Smyth

This is a product-provided, sponsored conversation that contains affiliate links. I received the Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Styling Tool and the True Glow by Conair Sonic Skincare Solution for my own personal use. All opinions, text and experiences are my own.

Bring the salon and spa home with Conair! Review of the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Styling Tool and True Glow Sonic Skincare Solution via @agirlsgottaspa. @conairbeauty #spon It's not really a secret that I have a love affair with Conair hair products. Over the years I have really loved (and religiously used) styling tools from their Infiniti line, and the latest hair dryer, the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Styling Tool, is no different. 3Q™ stands for "Quick, Quiet and Quality," all of the hallmarks of this new brushless motor styling tool. It may not fit into the Q theme, but this dryer is also extremely light weight. I didn't feel like I was giving my biceps a workout while drying my hair. I absolutely adore how much quieter this dryer is - their patent pending noise reduction technology makes it up to 40% quieter (which is a huge plus when you have a large family like I do and don't want to wake anyone early in the a.m. or when you can only squeeze in a shower at 10pm after a long day of work and want to keep your beauties sleeping.) Review of the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Styling Tool via @agirlsgottaspa. @conairbeauty #spon The Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Styling Tool has a brushless motor that will last 10x longer - up to 5,000 hours of life vs. 500 hours for an AC motor hair dryer. Something to consider when debating about if the $119.99 pricetag is worth it (I always say you get what you pay for.) What has drawn me to the Conair Infiniti series of styling tools over the years is the ionic and titanium ceramic technology they all have. This styling tool is no different. It promises enhanced shine, up to 75% less frizz and infrared heat to gently dry hair. Additionally with this dryer, the temperature it produces heat at is 70% lower to also minimize heat damage to your hair. I can tell you that I honestly noticed the heat was less, yet due to the faster airflow, my hair was drying quicker. My hair may not be very long, but when you are running a business, are 7 months pregnant and have a gaggle of children to take care of, every minute counts. Having a quality, yet quick beauty routine is something I strive for. Not to mention, that at a few months shy of turning 41, my hair is not like it used to be and heat damage is a big deal and very noticeable. So I appreciate the features of this new hair dryer.

Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Styling Tool review via @agirlsgottaspa @conairbeauty #spon(It's difficult to take a selfie while drying your hair!)

You can purchase the Infiniti Pro by Conair® 3Q™ Styling Tool at the majority of mass retail and drug chain stores. True Glow by Conair® True Glow Sonic Skincare Solution review via @agirlsgottaspa @conairbeauty #spon Of course, bringing the salon and spa home wouldn't be complete without a quality skin care tool. I'll be honest, I had no idea that Conair made a sonic cleansing brush, but I had the opportunity to try their True Glow Sonic Skincare Solution ($79.99.) The sonic technology powers of this high-performance cleansing brush are 300 oscillations per second. It includes two brush heads, one for face and one for body. The brushes are firm yet soft, so they aren't abrasive on your skin and gentle enough to use as part of your everyday cleansing regimen (it's also dermatologist tested.) I only used it on the lowest speed (it has 3) and that was just right for my skin without feeling over-exfoliated. True Glow by Conair® True Glow Sonic Skincare Solution review via @agirlsgottaspa @conairbeauty #spon I was impressed with how quickly this sonic cleansing brush charged and how simple it was to use. It does beep to indicate that you need to move to another area of your face, but it doesn't pause as you do so. I liked that feature because it meant I could just keep moving the brush around my face continuously. It's pretty much no frills, so if you've never used a sonic brush before, this would be a great tool to start with. Using a cleansing tool like the True Glow is also beneficial when it comes to getting the most out of your serum, toner and moisturizer as it preps the skin for better absorption.
